Springs were broken and back bracket was bent I replaced the bracket and all four Springs including the vertical one. I removed the cabinet as shown in the video. Then with a pair of vise grips's removed the springs one by one and replace them. The bracket was rusted And bent i used a quarter inch socket with a quarter inch ratchet to remove the screw. Fixing the problem was quite simple. First, I removed the lid assembly (thanks to the diagrams supplied by AppliancePartsPros.com!). Getting the back two screws out was very difficult because I couldn't see them from the front and I could not move the unit out of the enclosed space. After some trial and error, I located the screws which were 5/16 hex head screws and removed them with a MAGNETIC nut driver. Removed and replaced the old appliance top with a new top. Four learnings: 1. Removing all parts and reinstalling them is time consuming. 2. Rusted screws were hard to remove, finally just drilled them out. 3. The dispensers easily remove from the top side by pulling the band catch located under the lip. 4. All electrical connectors have guides and only fit where they are supposed to be. Read more
