1. After hearing a loud noise on the freezer side of unit about halfway up, I started investigating what it could be? My conclusion was evaporator motor or evaporator fan blade. One of the signs of this issue was a distinct change in sound when I opened the freezer door. I ordered a new motor and blade, not knowing exactly what it was.
2. I couldn't get water to dispense, so I changed the filter and that wasn't the problem. I ordered a water valve and crossed my fingers. These parts arrived...

Order new part, took apart in door water and ice dispensing assembly
(After watching how to video on Appliance Parts Pro site) and
Replaced part. Only hard part was feeding water line back through hole. I had to tape a piece of string to guide it back through. Wish I knew how the pros do it - wish that had been highlighted in re-assembly video. Still $35 to fix a refrigerator and 30 minutes of my time is very sweet.
