Replace both thee the dispenser lever and the housing as both had broken tabs. Took about 45 minutes. Pretty straight forward repair. Easy enough that you can simply look at it to see how it comes apart. Tip: to get main panel off, remove 3 screws under drip tray then the panel slides up to come off door. Read more

I typed the problem into the internet and the Appliance parts pros came up, after entering the model number and make of the refridgerator with the assistance of on line chat the problem was diagnosed. The part suggested was a new control panel and wiring harness. The order was recieved in less than 2 days from when I ordered it.
