Removed the lower hinge and repaired it, It was bent, allowing the bottom of door to rub on the inside of refrigerator. With the parts purchased along with the repair made to the hinge. The door now works as it should.

I replaced the defrost timer, which took about 10 minutes. After replacing the timer, I cleared out some ice that filled up the air passage from the freezer to the fridge (which allows the cold air to pass through from the freezer to the fridge). I went to sleep and the next morning the fridge was ice cold!!! Such a relief that I was able to spend a few bucks instead of hundreds for a new fridge. The parts took about 1 day to arrive, which was great.

Defrosted coil and removed defrost heater connectors, measured no continuity in the heater and ordered a replacement. Also discovered the aluminum retention strap was broken and the heater had slipped down in it's position, ordered and replacement strap.
