Broiler taking too long to light and burner metal burning through Paul H. • Bixby , OK • October 31, 2018
Replaced the Broil Burner and Oven Igniter. Removed the door (lifts out easily). Moved out oven to access electrical socket and gas line. Unplugged electricity. Shut off gas. Disconnected gas line. Moved out oven to access back panel.
Disconnected Igniter clip. Removed the small access plate. Unscrewed holding screws from broil burner and removed the old Burner and Igniter.
Put the new burner and Igniter together and reversed the process.
So far so good. Was a $70 repair or a $1000 new...

Watch U-tube video but wrong for my stove
Disconnected burner from top which I did not have to do
All I had to do was pull ignitor straight up (wire would come with it and disconnect wire from ceramic then push back into place
Because I disconnected via video insturction turned a five minute job into a 30 minute job
Burner ignites now
