This is a double drip pan is made for ranges, stoves, and cooktops. This is a genuine replacement part made by General Electric. The double drip pan is situated underneath two heated elements and is able to catch any food or debris that fall when cooking. The double drip pan is there to catch any and all waste so that the user may easily clean up after the heat is turned off and the appliance is cooled down.A new double drip pan might be needed if the current one is damaged in any way including being broken or bent so that is it not fully secure under the burner. We replaced the igniter. To do the job right you need to pull the oven off the wall (this was the 6 burner with griddle dual oven). you need to get to the igniter plug by taking off the entire back.... easier than it sounds... the hardest part is sliding the stove out and back in... I only need a 1/4 in driver for the whole job.... it is easier if you take the oven doors off...
