Ice maker stopped working Gary C. • San Carlos , CA • July 04, 2015
The replacement was made to fit various models. None of the instructions really fit my model. Ended up spending less time actually replacing it than reading the instructions. Took about 15 minutes. Needed a zip tie to hold the wires to back, otherwise the ice drawer would not shut. Works great, faster than the original, makes 8 cubes every 40 minutes. Ice feeler seems more flimsy than the old design which was a lift up wire. New design is a plastic paddle with an on off switch, which could...

GE refrigerator quit cooling. Patrick H. • Woodland Hills , CA • March 08, 2020
Repairman determined the Defrost heater was out. Repairman wanted 3 week to get the part. I have shopped many times before at AppliancePartsPros for other appliance parts. Ordered parts online had them in 3 days. Repairman installed my parts and was shocked I procured what was needed so quickly.

Broken freezer shelf Sara S. • Carmel , IN • February 05, 2016
I bought a condo, and did not realize the freezer shelves were broken. Once I moved in, I realized several shelves were held up by string.......I knew I couldn't use it effectively that way, and I wasn't ready to buy a new refrigerator, so I googled appliance parts and found this site. It was easy to find the part I needed, and I did check other sites, and found this one to be the cheapest total cost (price plus shipping).
I received my shelving parts very quickly, and can now use my freezer...

Ice dispenser door not closing tightly; frost build up in ice chute; mold growing behind ice and water mechanism Terrance A. • Arleta , CA • March 21, 2017
The ice dispenser door was not closing tightly. As a result, there was frost build up in the ice chute, which also was allowing ambient air and temperature into the freezer compartment. Upon further inspection, there was black “schmutz” on the ice door, and the rubber ice funnel and deflector parts were deteriorating. Because the door was not closing tightly, I also assumed that the door-closing spring was week. The parts I ordered were: ice door assembly, ice funnel, ice deflector, spring and...

Ice maker deispenser accumulating ice & fridge not staying cold while freezer was too cold Jud R. • Atlanta , GA • December 16, 2014
This recess heater was a last resort 'nuclear' option that I never employed. First repair was to replace the solenoid that keeps the little door from staying open and letting room air back up it. Also replaced the gaskets around both doors which allowed the freezer and fridge sides to stay at the right temp. That seems to have done the trick.
To install this part would be a herculean task involving complete and total disassembly of the door and seal 'tracks'...this seemed fraught with...
