We actually were able to determine that one of the freezer switches was bad and taped it down for about 3 days. The beeping stopped. Our fridge has two freezer switches and one fridge side switch. I ordered all three from these guys. They were cheaper than Whirlpool by about $20 for parts and about $15 for shipping. Verified "solid mode" side of switch was open, ordered new switch.
Removal of old switch and installation of new switch is easy, the switch is held in with tabs, finger pressure was enough to allow the old switch to be removed. The new switch then snaps right in.
One minor issue I encountered was while the new switch had wire color labels for each contact, I had to swap the two outer leads (orange/black, and yellow) to get the operating mode to match the front panel labels. I'm assuming...
