Ordered 2 replacement elements. Then performed the following: 1. Shut off power to cooktop (IMPORTANT) 2. Remove the brackets holding cooktop in. (under counter, I had 2) 3. Push up cooktop from under counter, you will need to lift cooktop about 3 inches from counter top. I used 2 furring strips to hold cooktop up. 4. Remove the philips head screws holding the glass top on. I had 10, 2 on each side, 3 front and rear. 5. Carefully work the glass cooktop loose from its base. Dont use... Read more

Turned off power at box. Removed drawer below cooktop. Used screwdriver to remove two brackets holding cooktop fastened to underside of countertop. Lifted cooktop out of counter hole and pivoted it around on countertop (used towels to protect countertop) so I could work on it (unit is hardwired so could not unplug it and move it to a workspace). Used screwdriver to remove 10 screws, pulling cooktop (glass, frame and epoxied metal border) free from lower portion containing ceramic heat units.... Read more
