Repair was relatively easy. You'll need a 5/16 socket with a short extension and a phillips-head screwdriver. Probably also an old rag and a bucket of hot soapy water. I started by sliding the stove out from the wall. Unplug the stove as soon as possible. No sense messing with 240 volts AC. I was drilling new holes from the top to replace them with stainless steel screws The 1/4" tubing broke free from one of the burners. Getting to it was a nightmare. These so called solid tops were built like an erector set. but I prevailed. I did take one shortcut. I cut the replacement tube and only replaced the damaged burner end and installed a compression fitting. This helped save some time getting to the valve end which was not damaged. Read more
