- Helps keep spills and debris from entering the burner cavity
- Restores even contact and alignment for the burner assembly
- Commonly replaced when the skirt is cracked, warped, or missing

Install notes:
- Turn off and disconnect power and gas supply and allow all surfaces to cool before servicing

My gas & Carbon Monoxide alarm went off at 6:30 am a couple of Saturday's ago. Had to call fire dept. and gas company. Gas company found a leak in the area of my gas cooktop. They turned off gas and locked the meter. Found the leak & fixed, but while running pressure test on the line, found a leak at the shutoff valve on water heater. Fixed that, called gas company.
