After checked the cooling coil on the back of freezer showing ice built up around the coil, I thought defrost heater did not working that cause a lot of ice blocking cold air traveling. Light Bulb
Genuine Lg part
By: Lg
Part Number: 6912JB2004M

The Light Bulb is an OEM part for LG refrigerators. It can be used in either the fresh food section or freezer compartment, providing illumination for easy visibility of the stored items.

Causes of a faulty light bulb can include regular wear and tear, reaching the end of its lifespan, or accidental breakage. These factors can result in issues such as a dark or poorly lit interior, making it difficult to see the contents of the refrigerator.

Symptoms of a bad light bulb may include:

  • No illumination or dim lighting inside the refrigerator
  • A flickering or intermittent light
  • Visible damage or broken filament inside the bulb

This LG OEM bulb is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore models.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You LG french door refrigerator lights failed   Phil M. • Santa Cruz , CA • November 06, 2019

So I read a number of the earlier posts regarding the required repairs and went forward with all those repairs. In short, I replaced the wiring harness, door switches, and bulbs. The problem still persisted so I went ahead and replaced the control board. That did the trick. So for my unit, LG LFX25960ST replacing all those components were required. All repairs were easy and the videos and posts are all helpful. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The flap that closes over the ice chute wasn’t closing completely. The warm air is drawn into the chute creating frost.   Robert C. • Springfield , VA • September 25, 2022

I watched the video attached to the part schematic for the three parts that work the chute - there is a small motor/actuator and the flap itself (which includes the spring, so really didn’t need to order the spring additionally). The hardest part was getting the cover off - I put tape all around the outside of the edge on the refrigerator to avoid scratching it and then used pry tools I have for automotive repairs (pulling off trim and panels) and was able to get it out without a problem.... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The light bulb in the ice maker on my lg refrigerator was missing when we bought the house and needed a bulb nothing at home depot or lowes fit   Dave B. • Holly Springs , NC • January 05, 2016

I did an Internet search and found your site. You're customer service representative was friendly and courteous, asked me what I needed. I gave her the refrigerator model number which is all I had. She spent the time needed to find the right bulb. LG doesn't provide great documentation but she cross referenced and double checked she had the right one. She encouraged me to buy two so I had a spare (a great idea). I got my bulb two days and fit perfectly. It was a great experience!! Read more
