Error code on LG refrigerator fan replacement Gerald S. • Westminster , MD • March 22, 2018
Our LG frig kept getting an error code on the display indicating a problem with the defrost cycle. The code suggested could be this, could be that. But I noticed that the fan in the freezer unit was periodically running louder than normal. Took a chance and ordered parts to replace the fan unit. Followed the AppliancePartsPros repair video and all went well. The set-up in my freezer unit was slightly different than the one in the video but the repair concept was the same. Without the...

- Reduces airflow noise and vibration compared with an uninsulated duct
- Fits into the dryer's exhaust path to restore correct airflow when the original duct is torn, crushed, or degraded
What's included:
- One insulated duct assembly
Install notes:
- Disconnect power and gas (if applicable) before starting any work
- Work on a cool, unplugged appliance; wear gloves to protect from sharp edges

The Door Stopper Assembly is an OEM component specifically designed for LG refrigerators. It secures the fridge door in fully closed and aligned positions.
The stopper assembly utilizes a pneumatic cylinder and integrated mounts to softly cushion door movement. This allows for smooth closing with an audible click to confirm proper sealing.
Causes of a bad stopper assembly can include cracked or leaking air cylinders after years of use. Loose or sheared mounting hardware may also cause improper alignment and restricted closure.
Symptoms of a bad door stopper assembly include:
- Gaps forming around the door seal when closed
- Doors difficult to latch fully or align correctly
- Premature cooling loss from unsealed openings
Replacing this LG part restores a snug, confirmed door shut. The OEM stopper components ensure dependable closing effort for efficient operation. This replacement is compatible with some Kenmore models as well.

Symptoms of a bad light bulb may include:
- No illumination or dim lighting inside the refrigerator
- A flickering or intermittent light
- Visible damage or broken filament inside the bulb
This LG OEM bulb is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore models.

LG french door refrigerator lights failed Phil M. • Santa Cruz , CA • November 06, 2019
So I read a number of the earlier posts regarding the required repairs and went forward with all those repairs. In short, I replaced the wiring harness, door switches, and bulbs. The problem still persisted so I went ahead and replaced the control board. That did the trick. So for my unit, LG LFX25960ST replacing all those components were required. All repairs were easy and the videos and posts are all helpful.

It occurred to me that it was a fix I could handle on my own since it was a part unto its own. Therefore I looked up the part number found the website and ordered. Installation: took out the offensive part, replaced it with the new one and I once again had a viable dispenser.
