- Disconnect power to the appliance before attempting any service
- Pull the appliance away from the wall and remove the kick plate or front access panel as needed to access the tray

The Ice Funnel is an OEM replacement part for LG refrigerators. It is a component located within the ice maker assembly that guides freshly made ice cubes from the mold out into the storage bin. The precisely formed ice funnel ensures ice cubes are directed efficiently into the bin, preventing jams or blockages.
Causes of a bad ice funnel can include cracks or breaks that disrupt proper ice flow. Damage may occur over multiple ice harvests due to repeated pressure.
Symptoms include:
- Ice cubes getting stuck within the funnel rather than dispensing into the bin
- An accumulation of ice fragments inside the funnel
- Reduced ice production or incomplete cubes
Due to manufacturer changes, this part will not fit older models, you must also order the funnel frame part number 3210JA0006S.
This replacement is also compatible with models by Sears/Kenmore.

Ordered all the parts from Appliance Parts Pro.com and everything was dropped at my door in two days (that was unbelievable in its self) I then watched a couple of your how too videos and it all looked easy enough - right. It went so easy I was in total disbelief that it was going to work....But it did and everything is like brand new. Spitting out ice cubes and water just like it did when I bought it. Now the world is right again. Thanks

The flap that closes over the ice chute wasn’t closing completely. The warm air is drawn into the chute creating frost. Robert C. • Springfield , VA • September 25, 2022
I watched the video attached to the part schematic for the three parts that work the chute - there is a small motor/actuator and the flap itself (which includes the spring, so really didn’t need to order the spring additionally).
The hardest part was getting the cover off - I put tape all around the outside of the edge on the refrigerator to avoid scratching it and then used pry tools I have for automotive repairs (pulling off trim and panels) and was able to get it out without a problem....
