The Light Bulb is an OEM part for LG refrigerators. It can be used in either the fresh food section or freezer compartment, providing illumination for easy visibility of the stored items.
Causes of a faulty light bulb can include regular wear and tear, reaching the end of its lifespan, or accidental breakage. These factors can result in issues such as a dark or poorly lit interior, making it difficult to see the contents of the refrigerator.
Symptoms of a bad light bulb may include:
- No illumination or dim lighting inside the refrigerator
- A flickering or intermittent light
- Visible damage or broken filament inside the bulb
This LG OEM bulb is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore models.

LG french door refrigerator lights failed Phil M. • Santa Cruz , CA • November 06, 2019
So I read a number of the earlier posts regarding the required repairs and went forward with all those repairs. In short, I replaced the wiring harness, door switches, and bulbs. The problem still persisted so I went ahead and replaced the control board. That did the trick. So for my unit, LG LFX25960ST replacing all those components were required. All repairs were easy and the videos and posts are all helpful.

Freezer and refrigerator not cool enough the back and bottom of the freezer were iced over Daniel C. • Naperville , IL • November 25, 2015
After some research I choose to replace the Controller Assembly. This resides in the freezer and is attached to the evaporator. First I had to take out the ice maker (easy 3 screws) next I had to remove the back panel on the freezer. This was not too difficult, there is a small panel in the back with a single screw holding it in place. Once that was removed I was able to pry the back panel off. There was one electrical connection that I had to take off that was attached to the fan. The back...

Refrigerator section was becoming to cold John F. • Princeton , NJ • March 22, 2017
Refrigerator section was becoming too cold, had repair tech come who stated door between freezer section and refrigerator was not closing and stated it needed a new computer board which could not be installed for a week. Ordered the part, had it in two days. Very efficient company and great customer service. Highly recommend. Installation was very easy. ( Unplug refrigerator from outlet, unplug existing harnesses, remove board, replace with new one and plug harnesses back in ).
