The alarm beeped for two days before I figured out that the light switch in the freezer was the problem. The light bulb- I thought - had burned out a long time ago, but it was actually frozen to where the light just would not come on. I replaced the ice maker assembly, which included the motor and electronics. I also replaced the door seal and the input cold air duct seals. The ice maker is mounted with only 2 philips screws, so it is easy to remove. The most difficult part is the harness, specifically the ground screw. The issue is that the wire is short and you need to turn the unit in order to get a screwdriver in. I was kind of guessing at the parts that I needed, but the parts diagrams were a huge help, and I narrowed it down to the bushing and stopper on the right door. I removed the door and was able to replace the parts pretty easily. Now the fridge door works good as new. Read more
