Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Washer would sometimes not power on no error codes worked after unplugging   Christopher N. • Savage , MN • June 06, 2016

We also noted 2 things: 1) to make it work, the longer it was unplugged, the longer it would work; 2) 'burned' smell near capacitors on the board. Easy replacement: one screw in the back, then the feet slide into position. The most difficult part is getting some of the wire harnesses unplugged because you're at bad angles. Just remember that every plug has a release you need to squeeze before it'll move. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Our washer is making so much noise   Gregory H. • Yucaipa , CA • February 05, 2018

While I was replacing springs I decided to replace the gasket since I couldn't clean it anymore. Unfortunately that was on back order so I can't fix it just yet. I have taken this LG machine apart already and it is easy to work on. I love all the videos online that go step by step. This repair is simple. I had a difficult time with the spring around the gasket. I think the tool for getting that back on may be worth the $. I would hate to damage the gasket getting the new one on. I... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Growling noise coming from the rear of the drum of my lg wm0642hw front load washing machine   Lydia F. • Willimantic , CT • June 07, 2016

I followed the video that was posted on your website, very informative and easy to follow. Only problem was, was the drum and bearings refused to separate, even after a week of applying rust buster and using a 5 lb sledge hammer and 2x4 wood. Spoke with one of your exceedingly helpful assistants on the phone and he gave me the only other option was to replace the rear drum assembly and the inner drum. So easy!! It's back together and running! I now can revel in clean laundry! I only have... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Bad bearing on lg front load washing machine   William P. • Coppell , TX • April 14, 2014

The AppliancePartsPro YouTube video was spot on. I had previously picked up the parts locally but I ran into trouble removing one of the bearing races because the bearing had completely failed. This prompted me to order the outer tub assembly from you. To my surprise when I received the part it had all the components (front and rear bearings and seal) included and pre-installed. It was a snap to follow along on the video. I was able to return the parts I had ordered locally and got my money... Read more
