Noisy bearings Chris H. • Kennesaw , GA • March 28, 2016
My washing machine had become increasingly loud during the spin cycles and you could feel a slight resistance when manually spinning the drum. I watched the bearing-replacement video on the website which was for a slightly different model with front mounted controls so I also downloaded the service manual to see how to disassemble my specific cabinet and controls. Once I had the washer disassembled and the tub & drum out I determined that bearing seal had failed and water had started to...

This water inlet valve is a genuine OEM replacement part that is sourced directly from the manufacturer for use in washing machines. The water inlet valve is the gatekeeper for the water flow into the washer. When the operator sets the wash cycle, the solenoid fires up and tells the valve to open the gate for hot or cold water or both to fill the washer tub. When the tub has filled to a preset level, the valve gates close and the water flow stops. If this valve fails, the water will not stop and will eventually flood or the water might not be signaled to flow at all. This repair requires a Phillips screwdriver and pliers. Disconnect the power source and turn the water off before working on the washing machine. Remove the back panel from the washer and locate the inlet valve. Disconnect the hoses from the valve. Remove the damaged valve. Install the new inlet valve. Connect the hoses in the same order they were removed and put the back panel on the washer. Reconnect the water and power. This water inlet valve is made of molded plastic and is individually sold. It does not include screws. It is made specifically for washing machines manufactured by LG.

FE Error on LG WM0532HW Curt H. • Covington , KY • March 12, 2014
I found other posts on AppliancePartsPros.com to be helpful. Most people and pros indicated that it was the Cold Water intake valve which has 4 solenoids on it. I watched the video to replace the Hot Water valve which is right next to it. My washer opened differently than the one in the video but it was not hard to figure out. Tools needed; Philips screwdriver and pair of regular pliers. I took the screws off of the small panel on top on the back of the washer. This allowed the control...

Our washer is making so much noise Gregory H. • Yucaipa , CA • February 05, 2018
While I was replacing springs I decided to replace the gasket since I couldn't clean it anymore. Unfortunately that was on back order so I can't fix it just yet. I have taken this LG machine apart already and it is easy to work on. I love all the videos online that go step by step. This repair is simple. I had a difficult time with the spring around the gasket. I think the tool for getting that back on may be worth the $. I would hate to damage the gasket getting the new one on. I...

Wobbling/loud tub on lg washer (broken spider) Ryan T. • Indianapolis , IN • January 20, 2017
I opted to save myself about $600 by repairing my 8 year old LG washing machine rather than buying a new one. After watching some videos I determined what I needed upon taking my washing machine apart. I ended up replacing the tub (includes spider and shaft), since I could not get the spider part removed from the original tub, as well as the motor bolt (which had broken when I removed it from the original tub's shaft). The spider was cracked and the shaft was wobbling which caused it to...
