This ice maker drive gear replaces the small plastic gear that turns the ice-eject/auger mechanism so your ice maker can harvest and dispense cubes reliably. Fits compatible LG ice maker assemblies. What it does
- Transfers motor rotation to the ice-eject/auger mechanism so ice cubes are pushed out or advanced.
- Commonly replaced when cubes aren't being ejected, ice builds up, or the mechanism spins without moving the ejector.
- Works with the ice maker's actuator/motor to synchronize harvest and fill cycles.
- Small, precision-molded gear designed for quiet, consistent operation in the ice maker assembly.
What's included
- One ice maker drive gear.
Install notes
- Disconnect power to the appliance before servicing to avoid shock or accidental motor operation.
- Remove the ice maker module and inspect surrounding gears/shaft for wear or debris before installing.
- Press the gear onto the motor shaft or replace the internal gear assembly as required; do not force or hammer into place.
- If other components show wear (motor, shaft, or companion gears), replace them to prevent repeat failure.

The Ice Room Fan Motor is an OEM part for LG refrigerators. It circulates cold air within the ice compartment to maintain the optimal temperature for ice production and storage. By ensuring even air distribution, the fan motor helps keep the ice at the right consistency and prevents it from melting or clumping together.
The ice room fan motor can fail due to various reasons, including wear and tear from continuous use, electrical issues, or obstruction from ice buildup. Over time, the motor bearings can wear out, or the fan blades can become damaged.
Symptoms of a bad ice room fan motor include:
- The ice maker not producing ice or producing less ice than usual
- Ice melting or clumping together
- Unusual noises coming from the ice compartment
- Temperature fluctuations in the ice room
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore refrigerators.
This part fixes the following symptoms
-
Doesn't shut off
-
Noisy
-
Fridge too warm

LG er 1f error code (ice maker fan) Thomas W. • Manassas , VA • March 18, 2019
I only needed the Bracket Assembly motor, not the DC Motor or Fan Assembly that I also ordered so I will be sending those back. The repair was extremely straightforward with a few bumps along the way. All told it took me about an hour. I started with shutting off the breaker for the refrigerator and putting all of the frozen food in coolers. Then I removed the drawers and the bracket for the drawer rails on the left side (as your facing the refrigerator). I then proceeded to gently pry off the...
