Followed the LG owner's manual instructions for cleaning the wash "arms". After that was complete the lower arm wouldn't operate. The filter assemble was caked with calcium, so decided to replace it and the lower spray arm and the "Holder" as your catalog described it. Removal and replacement were easy. Checked circuit breaker to d/w first. Good. Went to website to see no power issues. Most all of them mentioned the noise filter being the problem. Removed filter from machine and found the corner melted where fuse is located. Ordered new filter, installed, and now have power to switches. Thanks to LG NOT sending the parts THEY say are included with the dishwasher, I had to buy them in order to install the appliance. I sure hope the LG appliance performs better than their customer service. I ordered a tub seal to fix a gasket that let go in our LG LDS4821BB. Once I tore it apart to get the gasket out (little trouble) I also found what has made this DW stink for the last year. I replaced the dishwasher circulation motor. I also replaced the impeller assembly, although it turns out that was not necessary. Once receiving the parts, I Pulled out the dishwasher and removed side panels - didn't even have to disconnect anything. My project involved replacing the sump assembly and main motor on my LG dishwasher. The parts arrive in about 2-3 days. Wow, FAST! With the help of videos from LG I knew what to do. I bought a new controller first and installed it. The exact replacement controller was no longer available and I had to modify two AC connectors that changed from 3 pins with two wires to two pins with two wires. This was not expected but I made it work just fine by getting the three pin connectors on the cable to fit the two pin by breaking out the center web in the board two pin and then shaving off the raised key plastic on the wires.
