Knowing the odds of 2 failures occurring at the same exact time was unusually high, I just searched your site for what other broken items might affect these two failures. Since I had to change out the most likely of the 3 and since I was already was going to be into the switch panel I ordered all 3 and swapped them all out to cover my butt, as they were...

Problem was the upper door switch. Found it by opening up the cabinet, removing the display panel (1 screw and a couple of plugs) and testing all three micro switched with a meter. The Time Delay Fuse is an OEM part for LG microwaves. This fuse provides a safety mechanism by delaying the flow of electricity, protecting the microwave's electrical components from power surges and ensuring the appliance operates safely. It helps to prevent immediate damage in the event of a power surge or electrical fault, thus prolonging the lifespan of the microwave.
Over time, the time delay fuse can become damaged due to electrical surges, wear and tear, or faulty connections. If the fuse blows, it can disrupt the microwave’s ability to function correctly.
Symptoms of a bad time delay fuse include:
- The microwave not turning on
- No response from the microwave control panel
- The microwave stopping unexpectedly during operation
- Electrical issues or blown circuits in the microwave
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore models.

Microwave turntable would not spin Charles B. • Uniontown , PA • November 23, 2014
Removed 8 screws from bottom panel on microwave. Pulled two prong plug off old motor. Read supplied voltage off motor decal and tested for it. Deemed motor to be bad and changed it. Works great. After tearing old motor apart it seems a liquid got in there from inside microwave. No seal on motor. Bad design flaw in my opinion.
