The Door Latch Housing and Interlock Switch Assembly is an OEM replacement part for LG microwaves. It consists of the protective door latch housing casing along with the two-door switches and interlock switch.

The interlock switch prevents microwave energy from being generated inside the oven when the door is open. It shuts off all power once a faulty seal is detected between the door and cavity.

Symptoms of issues can include:

Microwave failing to turn on or cook with the door open
Sparking or arcing seen near the door seal or frame
Error codes displayed related to interlock detection faults

Compatible models include some GE, Kenmore, and Samsung units using matching door designs sourced from LG.

Followed the instructions on your "fix it" video on how to test for a bad micro-sensor. Wola! found one of the three micro-sensors was faulty. Replaced the whole board Assembly,latch just in case the other micro-sensors were ready to go bad. Ten minutes and I was back to using the microwave. Read more

Take the top vent off by two screws & then one screw on the side & lifted her up and I could see the 3 switches I need to repair. Then unscrewed the housin to the 3 switches. Took the housin out , put the 3 switches in the new housing & put her in & plug them in . And plug the Nucor and she works like new.
