We called Chris Appliances to come out to fix our LG Oven , they said it was the mother board that was causing the top oven burner to burn the food. It was very easy to find the part we needed, I put the model number in and it showed all the parts. Picked the broken buner, ordered it and was amazed, it came the next day. The directions were on the back of our stove. Simply followed what it said to do. Replaced burner, put it back together. Works perfectly. Wish we would of fixed it sooner. I took some part numbers from the underneath side of the burner along with the stove model number and entered them on the internet and luckily found the part that I was looking for - I purchased it and it was delivered very quickly (faster than I expected). I took pictures of the burner before taking it apart and then removed the broken burner and replaced it with the new burner, put all the other parts back together and it worked perfectly the first time I turned it on. When Microwaving food, the display panel would seem to act normal, but the typical microwave sound would be absent. No microwave action would occur. Eventually an F5 code would display. Problem was the upper door switch. Found it by opening up the cabinet, removing the display panel (1 screw and a couple of plugs) and testing all three micro switched with a meter.
