Thermostat
Genuine Lg part
By: Lg
Part Number: 6930W1A003X

The Magnetron Thermostat is an OEM part for LG microwaves and built-in ranges. Its primary function is to monitor the temperature and ensure that it remains within a safe operating range. If the temperature exceeds the preset limit, the thermostat will interrupt the power supply to the magnetron, preventing overheating and potential damage.

Symptoms of a bad magnetron thermostat may include:

  • Microwave not heating food evenly or at all

  • Microwave shutting off or displaying error codes related to temperature issues

This OEM LG part can also be used on Kenmore/Sears appliances.

This part fixes the following symptoms

Did some Google searches and most comments concerning this issue on LG stoves indicated the high temperature thermostat malfunctions when using the self cleaning function. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Very noisy convection fan   Daniel P. • Tampa , FL • June 08, 2019

Ordered a new convection fan motor and blade. Had to remove current blade from inside oven, then remove back panels (yes, it took two to get to the fan motor), and replaced the motor. Old motor well past shot. Had been noisy for about 3-4 weeks, but our kitchen was being remodeled, so we let it slide. Once it was clear how to remove back panel, the job was easy. Took about $100 and 2 hours of my time, but the oven convection fan is running silently again. Have not installed the new fan... Read more
