I looked on the internet for similar descriptions for similar models and found many angry reports. Most said that the rotor assembly was bad as the nut that held the rotor and other parts together had loosened and allowed slippage between steel and plastic splines. Yes, I know that sounds like trouble, but apparently not to LG when they designed it. Removed the top cover while the machine was operating, located the source of the leak. The top filler tube had worn a hole in a flex point. Found the right part on this site, replaced it with little effort. While in there I saw a similar hose and decided to replace it as its time was probably up too. Our 10-year-old LG WM2487HWMA front load washer had gradually developed multiple problems. My problem was a broken spider. I followed your excellent video, but have some additional input that should be incorporated in a new video showing the required upgrade procedures and parts required to repair an early model with damaged front tub half using currently available parts. Replaced the failing bearings and seal to eliminate loud noise during spin cycle. First the positive feedback regarding the video provided saved time and efforts and was VERY helpful. I called customer services to review the parts I was ordering. I was provided the wrong information and back bearing for the drum. Reordered the correct one which came quickly and was supplied RMA for refund with correct bearing. It took several weeks to issue a notice of refund and will take longer to be posted... Read more

I called a repairman he told me what was wrong and the price to fix it. I told him I would buy the parts to lessen the repair cost. I couldn't find the correct part on line. I followed the video that was posted on your website, very informative and easy to follow. Only problem was, was the drum and bearings refused to separate, even after a week of applying rust buster and using a 5 lb sledge hammer and 2x4 wood. Spoke with one of your exceedingly helpful assistants on the phone and he gave me the only other option was to replace the rear drum assembly and the inner drum. So easy!!
