Refrigerator would not defrost lots of ice on rear wall of refrigerator Gary W. • Conover , NC • May 19, 2015
After finding an excellent video on Youtube that addressed the exact problem I had, I ordered: a defrost heater and also replaced the Thermo Bimetal-Protec, and a sensor. The biggest problem was getting the ice that had formed on the back of my refrigerator to melt. I allowed this to happen on its own without applying heat as I feared heat may damage some of the plastic parts on the refrigerator. This took a couple of days but had completely melted by the time the parts arrived. ...

Fan that cools the compressor died Beth N. • Excelsior , MN • January 03, 2019
Not easy to figure out. Removed screws that appeared to hold the motor/fan/bracket in but it didn't budge (??). Watched a You Tube video but the guy's camera work wasn't too clear. I at least gathered that there was a plastic, one-way button/slide lock on the underside of bracket that holds the motor/fan assemby in.. The water dispenser switch broke it actually jammed the dispenser letting the water free flow so i had to remove the rubbery button and remove the broken plastic switch Richard K. • Ventura , CA • August 10, 2015
So I went on line, check out a few sites that weren't that much help and ended up here. A couple other comments really helped . I ordered the assembly and received it in a few days. It was easy to repair. The assembly has tabs all the way around it. I took a scraper/ putty knife and put tape on it so I wouldn't scratch the finish of the fridge. Pry and pop the old assembly off, working your way around the unit. The new one slips over the water spout and snaps into place.Easy!
