This door latch switch is the user-interface microswitch that detects and secures the oven/microwave door, allowing the unit to start and run safely. Replaces a worn or failed latch switch to restore reliable door sensing and control. What it does

• Acts as the electrical switch that signals when the door is closed and ready for operation.
• Prevents operation if the door is not fully latched or the switch fails to indicate a closed door.
• Commonly replaced when the oven/microwave won't start, stops mid-cycle, or door-related safety errors appear.
• Small internal switch assembly mounts to the latch mechanism and provides the door-closed contact.
