Jj March 10, 2023 for Model Number WFMC3200UC Found out while having the control board replaced that it is missing the spring(s) on the door gasket - may be removed during a prior repair. Do I need to buy one or two? In some of the stories, people are describing 2 of them. I've been operating this machine for years without the springs, are there any major risks besides minor leaking from not having them on?
1 Answer JJ, Thanks for the question!!! There are two springs for the door bellows. One at the door opening and one at the rear of the bellows (attaching the bellows to the tub). Yeah, the risk is a major leak! If the bellow/gasket pops off the water will be everywhere. The part numbers are 00644646 and 00648264. 1 Answer Hello David. Start the clamp 00644646 at the top of the boot, with the spring toward the bottom of the bellow. Run you fingers around the clamp placing it into the grove from top to bottom. You will need to be spreading the spring at the bottom as you are doing this. Make sure the spring and clamp is securely placed in the grove when done with the install. Hope this helps. Read More...
