T. Morrow for Model Number Bosch Dishwasher SHV46C03 UC14

I bought and received the soap dispenser from you (Part Number: AP3195342) for Bosch Dishwasher SHV46C03 UC14. I've watched your video and other videos on replacing it; it looks pretty easy. Except I can't get it seated all the way in so the plastic tabs snap into place along the edge of that metal lip. I've tried everything and wrestled with it for 45 minutes, but it won't seat far enough in to snap into place. Do you have any ideas to try before I call an appliance repair person to get it in properly? I was trying to save this expense, but I'm not having much success getting it in myself. Thanks.

T. Morrow, Aside from making sure that it is being installed right side up according to how the old one came out it may just be a matter of pushing on the dispenser while pushing the back part of the door to get it to lock in. The seal may be what is causing this and may just need to try to compress it more to allow the dispenser to snap in.

Vivian for Model Number Gaggenau dishwasher SHUGGE1UC/U12

The soap dispenser in my Gaggenau SHUGGE1UC/U12 dishwasher has started not opening the soap dispenser during the wash. Detergent pack goes into the slot, the door latches into place, but at the end of the cycle, the door is still closed and after manually opening the door, there is a partially used detergent pack inside. I see two replacement parts - the Dispenser ($90), and the Dispenser Assembly ($150). What is the difference and which one do I need?

1 Answer

Nina, Normally a rinse aid dispenser will last 30 days and if it is having to be refilled more than that then the issue will most likely be a faulty dispenser which would need to be replaced.

Wilton, You can use either or, but you need to expect to see water dripping on the floor. The correct "vented" dispenser is part number 00263088 00263088. it is in stock and available at this time. the connector is for attaching the door vent to the detergent dispenser, make sure it fits correctly. The vented dispenser helps to promote more efficient drying, and the vent tube acts like a condenser tube to eliminate the moisture.
