My question is how to - step by step access the burner to replace the part? It appears I must lift the range top to access the part from underneath. It's not obvious to me how to do that.
1 Answer Hjacobson, Once you have removed the grates, and burner heads and caps, there will be one screw at the back of the top that you will remove and then you will lift the top up off the ball joints at the corners. This may take a little effort but will pop loose. Read More...

William April 29, 2019 for Model Number hgs3052uc/1 Part number 00603506 ignitor, does this come with holder and if not how much more would it be to get the holder. Also does it lift up after the screw is removed or do we have to pull the top.
