Tmylett April 02, 2014 for Model Number prsg304s I an a homeowner and own a Thermador PSRG304S Range. I have been experiencing problems with my ignitors and burners for many yeas. I am finally going to dive in head first and try to figure out the necessary repairs to have my range working properly once again. I seem to have (after some research online) a common set of problems that plague thermador gas ranges. A couple years ago it started with ignitor problems , which I would replace time to time. Now I have NO working ignitors, even my new ignitors (#00189324) do not work, no matter what burner I install them in. I have had to manually (BBG hand held butane lighter) ignite my burners. Now my left front and left rear XLO buyers with not ignite at all. Seems to be no gas flow.
1 Answer Tmylett, With the issues that you are having you will need to get the spark module 00753257. For the XLO burners you will need the potentiometer and simmer control kit 00497234 and the gas valve solenoid 00423093. Read More...
Rich B April 02, 2014 for Model Number pcs366 On my PCS366 Cooktop none of the burners are producing a spark. Do you think it is the Spark Module that is the problem?
1 Answer Rich, Yes the issue with the unit would most likely be caused by a faulty spark module [Ap2672574]. Read More...
Kevin October 24, 2013 for Model Number Thermador PRG366US/01 I just replaced the spark module because all of my burners were sparking even after being lit. They still are sparking after being lit and installing a new spark module. I noticed while changing the spark module that a green ground wire was not connected to anything. One end was screwed into the oven and the other just loose. Could this effect the operation of the spark module? If so where should it be connected to? Thanks
Karen October 21, 2013 for Model Number Thermador PRG304 My simmer on and off burner lights, burns for a while, then the flame goes out and the burner igniter sparks, but no gas comes out of that burner. No other burners are effected. What could be the problem?
1 Answer Karen, The issue would most likely be caused by the solenoid 00423093 for the valves. Read More...
Bruce October 06, 2013 for Model Number Bosch hg5445uc 14305991 Hello, my front right burner sparks continuously unless full on, is this caused by a faulty spark module or the switch?
Bill Fdny March 12, 2013 for Model Number prg364gl us I have a PRG364GL THE LEFT SIDE TWO BURNERS are exlo type burners when I turn on the left side burners both do not get gas and no spark so I turned off the power at gfi at stove turned on both burners to hi hit the gfi to on they both spark well and gas comes on and both spark and light up and gas shut off within 1 sec
1 Answer Bill, You'll need to start at the left side potentiometers 00422748,When the burner knob is turned on the circuits close and supply power to the spark module and the gas solenoid for the burners to ignite and burn. Sounds like the printed circuit in the switch has started to fail. Read More...
Rhonda February 19, 2013 for Model Number PRG364GLUS I have ordered part #486771 (spark module). The one that I have does not have as many wires as the one that is already on my unit. Do I need to order some kind of harness or is there a different way to wire it?
1 Answer Hello Rhonda, The spark module kit should have included an instruction sheet which explains the differences in the new wiring from the old wiring configuration. There is no harness for adapting the spark module. Read More...
James L December 30, 2012 for Model Number SGCS365RB All of the igniters spark even after the burner is lit, and continue sparking when the knobs are turned off. I have checked connections and cleaned everything. I'm having to unplug the unit to keep the igniters from sparking.
1 Answer Hello James, You will want to first check the ignition switches 00411415 for continuity. If you find a switch that has continuity in the off position then replace that switch. If this checks ok then you would want to check for a grounded wire to the spark module. If this checks ok then you will want to replace spark module 00753257. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Rick December 10, 2012 for Model Number thermador GPS484GG The ignitors for the burners fire at random whether the knobs are turned on or not. That includes all four burners even if 1 is turned on 1 o r2 of the others may fire off and on.
1 Answer Rick, The spark module 00422882 could be the issue. But a faulty potentiometer 00422748 is a more likely issue based on your post information Read More...
