1 Answer Malcolm, unfortunately, as the manufacturer does not list an approved substitute for the discontinued element 00291937, we would not be able to guarantee that an alternative will operate properly within the oven. Read More...

Roxane September 06, 2017 for Model Number HBL445 AUC (FD 8202-) Someone mentioned a seal and I didn't see one. I got to the element but I was unsure how to disconnect it from the wires. Do the connections just pull off? It would be helpful to get the door off but we lifted the locks and pulled on the door but no movement. Does the door have to be a certain angle? thanks
1 Answer Roxanne, The part number for the door seal on the unit will be 00470692. For removing the door you will lift the locks and close the door til it stops then lift up on the door and it should come off. Read More...
Paul December 19, 2014 for Model Number bosch hbl445auc wall oven The bake (lower) element won't heat. The element checks good with a meter, similar ohm readings as the broiler element. The convection element is bad (I'm ordering one from you). Is there a specific thermostat or other component that would prevent the bake element from working while the oven still cycles on and off with temperature while using the broil element?
1 Answer Hello Paul, This can be caused by the selector switch 00490962 or the temperature switch 00421017. There are also a lot of wiring issues that can occur so be sure to look for discoloration of the wiring insulation and connectors. The units' wiring diagram should be followed to make sure you do not miss any components that are not obviously in the circuit. Read More...
David September 18, 2011 for Model Number HBL455 AUC Can I replace the convection heating element (AP3775599) myself or must I hire a service agent?
1 Answer Hi David. From the pictioral view, it can be accessible from the inside oven cavity. Remove the power. Remove all that would conflict with removal of the inner back panel. If you do remove the inner insulation while unhooking the wires from any elements, make sure that after it is reinstalled that you put the insulation back around the element so heat does not go out the back and burn any wires. The Convection /bake element is part # 00241778. Thank you. Read More...
John F. June 10, 2011 I purchased this part AP3775599 on 4/11/11. It worked fine for a few months & now I'm having the same problem when the oven is in convection bake mode it does not get hot. What is the warranty on this part and are there any other heating elements in this oven when in convection mode? Also, continuity test on the part is bad. Thanks...John
