Hello Michael, All you have to do is remove the door boot retainer and slip the boot aside. Remove the two retaining screws from the door latch assembly and slip it out through the loose door boot. Be aware that if you tighten the door lock assembly down too tight, it will not operate so only snug the screws down loosely.

Hello Henry. If the screw holes in the lock are not stripped out, you can just order the screws. However if they are stripped out, you will need to order the lock and the screws for the unit.

Hello Jen, The door boot is removed with a pair of needle nosed pliers. It is a metal ring with a spring attaching the two ends. It is stretched around the boot. When removed, the door boot can be pulled down to access the door lock assembly. Be aware that if the screws that hold the door lock assembly are tightened too tightly, the door lock assembly will not operate. The screws should be snugged down and backed off about 1/4 of a turn.
