Bryan June 26, 2015 for Model Number rdfs30qb Hello, My left front burner does not work. I get a spark but no gas is coming out. I have replaced the solenoid and checked the new one on other burners and they work. how do I check the potentiometer to know if it needs to be replaced? And if it does not need replacing what would be the next step? Thanks in advance for any help!!!
1 Answer Hello Bryan. If you get spark, then the potentiometer is good. If the solenoid is new, and the orifice is clean, your next step would be replacing the gas valve for that burner. Read More...
George May 21, 2015 for Model Number SGCS365 The repair manual lists the Model number as SGCS365 (no added letter). The unit is 15 years old. Which potentiometer is correct? Do the wiring connections simply unplug from the potentiometer? I notice that the wiring can't be removed easily and I am concerned that I may damage the connections. Thank you
1 Answer George, The potentiometer for your unit would be 00422748 and would just unplug the wire harness from the old and install on the new potentiometer. Read More...
Jim May 10, 2015 for Model Number GGSCV30 Will this part be the correct replacement for the pot for my 2 xl gas burners on our thermador GGSCV30 cooktop? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Jim, This is the correct potentiometer for your unit but be aware that these potentiometers are not compatible with the old simmer control. You should replace the parts with the kit 00497234. This kit comes with two potentiometers which are not compatible with the old simmer control. Read More...

Rainer January 28, 2015 for Model Number PRG36 When I tried to switch out a potentiometer on my PRG36, I damaged the plug that connects to the potentiometer. Is there a spare part for that? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Rainer, We will need your complete model number to look up the exact part for your unit. I'm sorry for the inconvenience but this is necessary to obtain the harness that will work on your unit. In case we cannot locate the part number and have to submit the information to the manufacturer, we may have to also have the serial number. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
Ernest November 10, 2014 for Model Number PRG304us Ignitor control module replaced two months ago: all ok until now. Today all 4 ignitors continue clicking without provocation! I lifted all ignitors and cleaned and dried them...yes getting shocked often! Also notice LF simmer burner does NOT always ignite...and occasionally turns off when turning knob from full to lower position. Seems to have lost its "detent" from low to potentiometer-simmer too. Sometimes turning on LR burner allows LF to ignite more often, but rarely will LF burner ignite by itself. SOLENOID or front SIMMER-POT?? Are the two problems related? Can't imagine it's the ignitor control module again, as it's so new.... Again, LF gas valve DOES open sometimes, so I suspect the solenoid is ok...but not getting triggered by the simmer-board pot assy?? Thanks! Ern
1 Answer Ernest, For the left burner issue this would most likely be a bad potentiometer. For the issue of all of the burners sparking, it would be either bad wiring or a bad spark module. Read More...
