Bob August 01, 2017 for Model Number wtmc3500uc/01 Dryer keeps stopping after starting to heat up. It will go for only 30 sec now. The timer display continues to just show time left, no errors or beeps. Have to unplug to reset.
1 Answer Bob, With the unit just stopping and having to unplug and reset to get it to start again then this would most likely be a internal flaw in the control board of the unit. Read More...
Jason February 24, 2015 for Model Number wtmc3321us/03 Our Bosch Nexxt 500 dryer keeps tripping the high temp sensor. I've checked the ducts and the blower and can't find anything blocked or not working. I replaced the high temp sensor and it still trips. It started happening once a week and has gotten worse. It can't do a whole cycle now without tripping.
1 Answer Jason, Based on the information it sounds like the issue with the unit would be a high limit thermostat that is not functioning properly and causing the unit to overheat and cause the thermal fuse to trip. The thermal protector is part number 00422272. Read More...
Stuart November 17, 2012 for Model Number wtmc632sus/02 E1 keeps showing on the display. I checked lint basket vent on roof and took off back of dryer. All clean but still continues to alarm. I have hot air blowing so all seems o.k. with that. Could it be a temperature sensor?
1 Answer Hello Stuart, The NTC sensors are sensing too much heat. The connectors should be cleaned and tightened before replacing any parts. The opposite side of the sensor should be cleaned also. Please note the service manual is in the attachment. Pages 53 and 55 cover some of the information with pictures. If the lint filter light comes on unexpectedly, especially during a drying cycle, then the lint screen NTC is reading a higher than normal temperature. It can be caused by debris in the bearing shield, such as lint or other debris, or occasionally by loose NTC terminal connections. Let us know if we can assist you further. Read More...
