Jan December 05, 2012 for Model Number Thermador SGC365R My cooktop got wet and now the back left burner ignitor sparks all of the time, except when I light it. Tom W. November 15, 2012 for Model Number SGSX365 The front left XLO burner will not light. No gas is detected when burner is turned on. Spark does work, but seems erratic. Last year I replaced a control unit ($110 ??), which solved the problem at the time but the LF XLO refuses to light. I tried switching the switch wires from the LR XLO burner to the LF, but it did not help. Suggestions? Thanks

Puffy August 30, 2011 for Model Number Thermador Model # SGSX456ZB (6 burner I have owned this Thermador cooktop for 8 years. I now have a burner that does not light. It is the left center star unit. The piezo ignitor became intermittent but it would eventually spark and ignite. We cleaned the burner with soap and water and now it quit sparking altogether. I have touched the piezo and I can still feel a small shock (tingle) when I turn the burner on but it isn't strong enough to send a spark. 1 Answer Hello Puffy. You will want to check and make sure the igniter is good and dry and clean as well. If there is power coming to the igniter and it does not spark, you will need to replace the igniter 00188984. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
