Thanos, This issue will be either the relay control board, wiring between the board and the sensor, or a sensor issue.

MattA, Thanks for the question!!! The bake relay was likely damaged when the previous bae element failed. You will need to replace the relay board/control board.

Gus, Thanks for the question!!! Always start with making sure you have the correct incoming power. If you 240v coming in, your first stop would be to check the fuse. The fuse is located on the noise filter DE96-00400C. If the fuse is good it will either be wiring or the control board.

Mark for Model Number ERD36NG

Hi, I have a ERD36 dual fuel range that will not keep the temperature in the oven. We previously had issues with the touch pad sensor but now that works fine. When you sent a temp I bake mode the oven will come up to temp using the broiler and then not stay at temp once the broiler turns off. The heating element was not getting hot. I removed it and tested with continuity meter and was defective. I ordered a new bake element and tested it with the meter before installing, it had continuity. Yet with the new bake element, it did not fix the problem. Do you have any additional suggestions? It is 15 yrs old and I hate to spike a ton of money into it but new ones are very expensive.

Mark, Again you are looking at a relay board that is no longer available. [92028 ]

Kim, the hi-limit switch is going to be behind the door latch which can be accessed by removing the latch cover panel (while the breaker to the unit is off). However, as the unit is turning off and will operate again, the hi-limit switch is not a likely suspect as it would not reset without the reset button being pressed. The most likely issue would be in the main logic control assembly DE81-02790A. Unfortunately, this part is showing as being discontinued by the manufacturer and no longer available.
