For Frigidaire Electric Range Electronic Oven Control Board (Part Number: OEM13532385)

Chrystal for Model Number Fridgidaire smooth top electric range/oven

Yesterday, while cooking with two burners on and the oven on, I heard a pop noise and discovered the unit off and the breaker tripped. I turned the breaker back on, turned the oven off, finished cooking with two burners, then turned the oven on and finished dinner with just the oven. Later that evening, I heard the same pop noise and went into the kitchen to discover the unit off again and the breaker tripped. I wasn't using the unit when it tripped the second time. I flipped the breaker off and unplugged the unit. What's the problem?

Hello Chrystal. it sounds like the breaker may be bad. Try replacing it first and if the problem continues, look for a hot wire shorted to ground.

Hello Jared, There are two choices here. One: Replace the clock 316557205. Two: Make some large plastic washers for the screws to go through. They will have to be thick enough to not be flexible and they have to be plastic so they will not conduct if they contact a hot wire. There is no other way that will work without using an adhesive which is highly undesireable.

Hello Brad, The F10 error code indicates a runaway temp. You will want to test the oven sensor 316490000 which should read at 1090 ohms at room temp. If sensor checks ok then you would replace the Clock 316557205.

Hello Lewis, Sounds like an infinite switch is starting to fail. If not, there could be an issue with the wiring harness. I would first remove the back and raise the top and check all of the places where the harness is tied together. There was an issue where the assembly line individual putting on the wire ties got too strong and was crimping wires together by tightening the wire ties too tight. Still a higher probability of an infinite switch going into failure but this is impossible to correct until the problem is every time. That is unless you replace all of the infinite switches.
