Sylvia November 14, 2011 for Model Number fgfb79gbf I want to order the part for a frigidaire stove. The part # is 316557206 but I would like to know whether this is the correct part which controls the opening and closing of the oven door?
1 Answer Hi Sylvia. If the door latch is not physically broken, part # 316405800, un plug the unit and remove the back assy. From the front latch extending to the back is a steel rod. Make sure this is still engaged into the door latch end and the motor assy. at the inside rear corner. The latch motor is controlled by the clock controls. It should give 120 vac to the motor to unlock. If it is jammed it will not work also. Part # 5304528973. The clock is part # 316557206. Thank You. Read More...
