For Frigidaire Oven Electronic Control Board (Part Number: OEM11890764)

Doug for Model Number FGB24L2ASA

The control panel of my Frigidaire wall-mounted oven/broiler unit is not working. It stopped working after a power surge. The oven light still works, so I know the unit is getting power. However, will the control panel not working, I can't turn the oven or broiler on or off, or set the timer or clock on the unit. I'm not sure if the surge knocked out a control panel/timer circuit board or if the power surge damaged something else. I'm guessing it damaged the control panel/timer, but I'm not sure. With that part being so expensive, I was wondering if you could help me figure out if that was indeed the part that got damaged and is need of replacing. I was also hoping that you might help me figure out how to gain access to the control panel on a wall-mounted oven/broiler. I'm hoping I don't have to take the whole unit out of the wall. I'm a senior, and that's too heavy-lifting a job for me. I watched the youtube video you posted on replacing a control panel on a floor standing stove. Replacing that control panel required rear access. That's why I'm kinda concerned that I may need to do the same with my wall-mounted unit. Can you offer any words of experiential wisdom and help?

Doug,

The clock of the unit would most likely be the cause for the unit not having a display or working. The unit would need to be pulled out some in order to access the control panel. The screws for the control panel are on the upper sides and have to slide the unit out a little.
