Gregory January 15, 2017 for Model Number fgef3032mfc We are having an F10 error come up. Unplugged it twice hoping that it would correct, but no luck. Just before we first saw the F10 error, we had a pie burn in the oven even though it had cooked for less than the suggested time. I'm just wondering if that is a clue that we need to replace the controller rather than the oven temp probe? If no, is there any easy way to tell whether it is the controller or the oven temp probe? (assuming I've got the likely culprits). I was going to buy both parts and return whichever was not needed, but I figured I'd ask first to see if there is an easy way to determine which part I need so I don't have to bother you with a return. Many thanks!
1 Answer Gregory, You will want to test the oven sensor at room temp for 1090 ohms and if the resistance is not correct then the issue will be a faulty sensor and if it checks ok then the issue will be a faulty control board. Read More...
Roy December 29, 2015 for Model Number Frigidaire CGEF3032MFE The burners and oven stop working all at once. The oven light comes on when you open the oven door. I am thinking it is a bad controller.
1 Answer Hello Roy. Look for a bad terminal block on the unit or a bad power cord. Also, make sure you have 240 volts coming to the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Cathy November 02, 2015 for Model Number FGEF3032MFG My oven is not getting hot on bake or broil the timer works it will go off when it says the preheat is over but no heat the fan works as well. I think it might be a bad control but there is no match for my model. Could that be it or may it be something else and if it is how can I get the part I need?
1 Answer Cathy, If the cooktop burners work, then it's not likely a power supply problem. Since your range has no thermal fuses, or safety thermostats, the problem is most likely in the ERC/Clock. The part number(s) needed are 316557260 and 316419361. Both parts are in stock and available at this time. Thanks, Read More...
