Dan August 03, 2023 for Model Number FFU20FK0DW0 Hi, need some help. I just received the replacement FRIGIDAIRE Controller Kit Part #: AP5690409 (5304491585) but it does not have an identifier on the part on which wire socket aligns with the wires to the fridge. I looked on the part and was looking for an identifier such as "N" to identify as Neutral. The wires from the Frigidaire have a yellow and white wire. Can you advice on how to connect the wires to the harness provided?
1 Answer Hello Dan, with the included plug-in wire adapter which only fits in one way to the start device connect the yellow wire to the adapter's top wire, white on lower.. Read More...
Joseph October 04, 2021 for Model Number LFFU1765DW3 replaced defrost thermostat, comp.run capacitor, and defrost timer, comp. runs and is hot not cooling, any suggestions? thank you
1 Answer Joseph, if the condenser fan is operating and the condenser coils are clean, this would be a sealed system failure and would require an EPA-certified technician to diagnose and repair. Read More...
Gary Garrington June 29, 2019 for Model Number LFFU2065DW2 This question for for my Frigidaire Commerical Upright freezer that we just moved to our new home. It was working fine before the move. When I plugged the frezzer in at the new location, the fan inside the frezzer runs but, the compressor comes on for about 2 seconds and the shuts off. Then about every several minutes, I hear a double click from what I assume is the compressor relay but the compressor does not start again until I turn off the temp control inside the frezzer and wait several minuets, the when I turn it back on, the same thing starts again. Any idea what the failure is?
Dave G January 20, 2018 for Model Number LFFU2067DS0 White wire going into the controller was getting hot enough to be smoking. Would this be caused by a bad controller, capisitor, or do you think the compressor is going out? Freezer was still working I just smelled the burning wire insulation.
1 Answer Dave, The white wire is the neutral leg of the circuit. First check power at the outlet static, then check it again when the power is applied to the compressor and it starts, there should only be a 2 or 3 volt drop in power the first few seconds. Check to make sure there are no loose connections pinched wires or wires melted to each other, especially the green (ground) wires. If you have access to a clamp on ammeter the compressor may draw as high as 14 amps at the start of the cycle, but should drop down to .5 amps to 1.5 amps in a few minutes(5-10 mins.). Read More...
Leland May 20, 2015 for Model Number FFU17FC4AW2 Upright freezer won't freeze.Fan inside is running and compressor in bottom rear is warm but the coils inside unit behind panel are not cool at all.Had water running across garage floor or would't have noticed a problem till it may have been to late to save meat inside.Had unit off all night and turned on this morning and after 3 hours no cooling at all.
1 Answer Hello Leland. It sounds like sealed system failure, but lets check that compressor out. Here is a link to our Repair Forum, this is a free service to our customers. Joe May 11, 2015 for Model Number FGCH25M8LW0 I have a fridgedaire chest freezer that light turns on but no noise or anything turns on and I replace the run capacitor and still nothing runs. What could be the problem? I am thinking it might be the compressor overload relay but don't know if that's gonna fix the problem?
1 Answer Hello Joe. If nothing is working, you will need to check the temp control 216714600 in the unit. If it is bad, it will prevent the unit from turning on the compressor. Read More...
Scott October 03, 2013 for Model Number 216649315 Great, received the part today. I have two wires that need to attach to the part, blue and white. The slots on the overload are labeled "N" and "L". Not sure where to put the wires, and the old plug has been destroyed.
Scott October 02, 2013 Trying to purchase a replacement overload #216649315. You have it in stock, but it's not clear to me if that replacement part contains within it the fuse (looks like a ceramic disc) and this other solid state component-- not sure what it is.
1 Answer Hello Jawo. You test it for continuity. The contacts should read closed on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
