The Bake Element is an OEM component for Frigidaire wall ovens. It is an integrated heating coil that generates heat through electric resistance when powered. Located near the bottom of the oven cavity, the bake element facilitates heating for various cooking functions like baking, roasting, or warming. This element measures approximately 13 x 11 inches.

Symptoms of a bad bake element include:

  • Oven failing to reach or maintain desired cooking temperatures
  • Bake cycles taking excessively long periods of time
  • Hot or cold spots developing inside oven cavities
  • Error codes appearing related to upper heating issues

Causes can be cracks in ceramic sheathing allowing arcing, or mineral deposits coating coils over extended use impeding heat transfer.

This OEM Frigidaire part can also be used on Electrolux, Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, and Sears/Kenmore.
