The Lint Filter is an OEM part for Frigidaire dryers. This component is crucial for trapping lint and debris that come off clothes during the drying process. By capturing this lint, the filter prevents it from clogging the dryer’s internal mechanisms and vent, thereby enhancing the efficiency of the dryer and reducing the risk of fires.

Symptoms of a bad Lint Filter include:

  • Excessive lint escaping back into the dryer drum or venting system.
  • Tears or holes in the filter mesh that fail to trap lint.
  • Difficulty fitting the filter into its slot due to warping or damage.
  • Longer drying times or overheating, indicating poor air flow.

Causes of a bad lint filter can include normal wear and tear from regular cleaning and use, accidental damage during removal or cleaning, or degradation from exposure to high heat.

The Lint Filter is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire, Electrolux, Gibson, and Kenmore dryers.

In regards to this, you will want to check your heating element and thermostats for continuity. There are the inlet thermostat 137032600, the hi-limit thermostat 3204267 and the element assembly 134792700. All three components are going to be on the lower right hand side of the inside of your unit. The thermostats are going to be located on the element assembly.

Hello Max. The best test is the water flow test. You run water through the filter. If it flows and does not puddle up, then the filter is fine. If it puddles up, replace the filter on the unit.
