Donald, No the element is a separate component. You will need to re use the original mounting nuts and washers, or acquire a matching set from your local hardware or home improvement store. Thanks and Good Luck.

Hello Adrian! There does not seem to be any ground wires for the heating element. What color are the wires and where is the exact location of the wires you are speaking of? Thanks.

On our dishwasher, the heating element is coated with mineral scale. Is it safe to remove the element, put it in a large container, and soak it in a mix of vinegar and dish soap and water, to remove the scale? This is what I use on other items such as faucets and plastic parts that collect the same mineral buildup. Here in central Indiana, we have a lot of calcium and iron in the groundwater, so I suppose this is the kind of material that hardens on parts that contact the tapwater. Thanks.

Hello Anne! You can try running a load without any dishes in the appliance using the same method. This way, you have a cleaner dishwasher as well. If that does not help, you may try taking the element out and soaking it. Make sure that the terminal ends are not covered in water. Hope this helps!

Hello Wolfeman. No, you can not purchase the rubber washers separately. The manufacture only offers them as an assembly. Thanks.

You access the heating element from under the bottom of the dishwasher. Unplug the wires and remove the nuts holing it on. Reinstall in reverse order. The heater should be all you will need.
