Hello Suzanne, If the heating element is working on all but one cycle, the control module 154712101 has experienced a failure. You still should test the heating element 154665201 and the resettable thermostat 154290204 for continuity.

Tom H for Model Number FDB710LCBO

I checked continuity on the heating element above on the tops of the heating element(Note tops were rusty and I felt that I was not getting a good reading) So I tested the two leads at the bottom connections w/o removing the leads and the element tested good continuity. Assuming the heating element is fine I tested the temp on the water and the element during a wash cycle and got the temp of hot tap water. On the options panel I have Hi Heat set on all(e.g. Wash, rinse & Dry). Are the red indicators on the options panel LED lights? If so they are not lit-up in any of the 3 cycles mentioned above. I see the red indicator(led) lit up on the wash cycle to the right of the panel where you have Delay, Wash and Clean LED lights. I just checked the Heating element element in the drying cycle and it is heating up. It is apparent that the heating element is not working in the Wash and probably the Rinse cycle? What is the problem? Do I need a new options control switch or what? Thanks. Tom

David for Model Number FD8510LCS3

First and formost the model number that I wrote down is not coming up so it could be incorrect. The lable that where the model number is found is kind of worn and hard the read. The tenants at my rental property are complaining that their dishes arent drying properly. I was thinking that it is the heating element, but after reading the questions and answers on this site I see that it might be other things. Can you help me without the proper model number?
