Wayne, Unfortunately there is no way to test the panel as the manufacturer does not give a key chart for the touch pad. This would need to have a control panel replaced on the unit.

Hello Susan. These are not to hard, but are not easy. Remove power. Remove door. Remove knobs. Remove bottom screws from control panel. Remove the keypad. Remove switch screws. Lift panel out of console. Reassemble in reverse.

The stovetop works, but the oven does not work. The buttons on the display panel do not respond when pushed. The display shows the code: PF. So, I turn off the circuit to the range, wait a few minutes, then turn it back on. When I push the buttons, they beep, but then everything becomes unresponsive again. The light in the oven goes on and off with the opening and shutting of the oven door, as it should. The range is 10 years old. It is clean. My question... Will I be able to fix this problem by buying a new display panel with new circuitry? Or, is it time to purchase a new range... Which is most cost-effective over the long run? Thank you so much.

Anastasios S for Model Number FGFL67DSF

Frigidaire Stove prob around 2007 I found a model #FGFL67DSF online but I don't know if this is white or black, but mine is black/stainless. Im looking to replace the faux stainless plastic backguard, just that, as years of use had built up grime and my wife used steel wool to clean it--thats how we discovered it was plastic! In the schematics it shows as part #19 but I think that is for a white stove. Would it be available in Stainless and how much?? Also, the black top is cruddy, is this replaceable and how much? Can I paint it with hight heat high quality paint? The rest of the stove, even the oven is very clean. What I'd really like to relace is the faux stainless

1 Answer

Anastasios, The panel in stainless has been changed by the manufacturer to a black panel and stainless can no longer be gotten. The part number for the black panel is 316246611. For the main top, if you can locate a high temp paint then that would work for the top. Although it is recommended for it to be enamel paint.

Gary Helik for Model Number PLES389DCB

I am looking at 03-Backguard Parts for Frigidaire Range PLES389DCB; I am looking at replacing the stainless steel panel, item 19, Part Number: AP3586271 MFG Part Number: 318239700, made by Frigidaire. My existing panel is scratched and the printed heat settings have started to erase. I assume I have to buy the panel complete with the electronics, as I don't see the stainless panel alone. Is this correct? Do you have instructions for disassembly and reassembly? if I figure I can do it I will then order the part from you; if not, then I will call some local appliance guy to buy and install it for me. Thanks, Gary

Gary, You will need to get the panel 318239700 as the membrane switch comes with the panel and you cannot get the panel separately.

Joe for Model Number Frigidaire PLES389DCB

On occasion when using the oven, the oven gets way hotter than the temperature entered and eventually we get an F1 error. We have to trip the circuit breaker to reset the oven. According to the service data sheet we might have to replace the EOC, which I assume is the Electronic Oven Control (Part number 318239700?), or we might need to replace the "RTD". What is the RTD and can you tell me the part number? How would one know which part to replace? Thanks, Joe

1 Answer

Hello Joe, The RTD is the oven sensor. You will want to do a resistance check on the oven sensor. The sensor at room temperature should be 1090 ohms. If it does not read this then you would need to replace the sensor. If your oven sensor ohms out properly then check your wiring from the sensor to control. If this checks ok then you will want to replace the EOC 316272204.

Hello Ken, In order to get the ribbon connectors into place there are clips on the either side of the control connectors that you push in and lift. Once they are lifted then you would push the ribbon cable in place and push down on the connector to lock into place.
