The shaft part broke off. Now the water won't even fill up to the lowest level. Is it just as simple as replacing the knob (where it all engages)? What would I need to do to fix it?

Pete November 30, 2012 I have a broken start knob for a stacked dryer. The part number is 1340428. Is there a replacement part?
1 Answer Hello Pete, I'm sure there is a replacement knob for your unit. Unfortunately, there is no way to look up the correct part without a model number. It would also be helpful to know which knob you are in need of. Since all appliance parts are model specific, if we could ask you to please re-post with the model number and the description of the knob, (temperature selection, start knob, timer knob, etc...), we will be very happy to assist you in finding the part. If the part number you listed was on the knob, this is a vendor number that we cannot cross. Read More...
