Tim January 23, 2013 for Model Number FDBB4365FC3 The water valve leaked water and the dishwasher sat in about 1/2 for sometime. I fixed the valve and water goes into the dishwaser but it does not wash or darin the water. There is some rust on the pump and corotion on the turbidity sensor? What can I do?
1 Answer Tim, You could try and clean the deposits off the sensor, using hot water and distilled white vinegar or a citric acid based cleaner. Soak the "clear end of the sensor, then use an old tooth brush to scrub and clean it, just be very carefiul. For the motor, first thing to try, remove the lower wash arm, support and filters, remove the volute cover 807145201, and use your finger or screwdriver and turn the impeller several revolutions, this should "break" the shaft seal and shaft loose and the motor may run fine from then on. Lisa June 30, 2012 for Model Number FDBB4365FBO The lower sprayer arm melted. Is this a electrical problem or something else?
1 Answer Hello Lisa. If the spray arm becomes loose, it can release and hit the heater and melt on the units. I would check and see if the arm is loose and made contact with the heater. If so, replace the spray arm in the unit. Read More...
Brian October 06, 2011 for Model Number pld2850rdc2 The washer will not drain. has standing water after cycle. I have changed the drain pump and checked for any blocked hoses. Not sure what else would keep the tub from draining. Motor runs and no water drains though the pump.
1 Answer Hello Brian. If the drain pump 154580301 is new and the hoses are clear and the sump assembly in the machine is not clogged, you will need to test for power to the drain pump during drain. If there is no power coming to the drain pump, you will need to replace the control board 154663005 if the wires are good. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Kevin August 17, 2011 for Model Number pld4555rfco The dishwasher pumps water in but does not go through sprayers at all. Is it the main pump or what?
Sharef August 11, 2011 for Model Number gld2440res1 I am getting water to the lower spray arm but it does not appear to be turning.. I noticed a little black piece when I took the arm off does anyone know where this piece goes... If I order a new spray arm will this be in tack?
1 Answer Hi Sharef. Under the lower wash arm there is a gray trap that you lift up and out. Then you take the white support and twist/ lift at the same time to remove. There is a 3" filter basket under here that you need to clean . Also clean the large silver screen to clean. Clean , Clean , Clean is the name of the game. Is the spray arm full of debri's in the jet holes? Take a pick tool and rinse clean the wash arm. There shouldnt be a piece of anything broken. You need to make sure all is clean in the sump/ pump assembly. Thank you. Read More...
Rookie August 08, 2011 for Model Number pld2855rfc1 Water is not going into the sprayers. Everything else is working and I can even see water in the bottom of unit. Could a bad pump cause this?
1 Answer Hi Rookie. Check and clean all the wash arms with a pick tool under the sink. Make sure that the water manifold / funnel are all intact when the racks are in place to have delivery of the water to the spray arms. Take the trap Twist and lift off and remove the stainless lg. screen that has a filter assembly. Clean, Clean, Clean. This may help. Use dishwasher magic part # []. 1 Answer Hello Marvin, first you will want to make sure nothing is blocking the float154767801 located inside the tub. Next you will want to look at the switch 154773201 which this float works with. You will have to access the switch from underneath the unit. If all these parts are okay, you might want to look at the water valve 154637401. Hope this helps! Read More...
