Tj April 01, 2015 for Model Number PLD2855RFC1 Running a NORMAL WASH (96min), there is a "HO" delay for approximately 10 min within the last 25 min of the wash cycle. Upon completion of the wash, the dishes are not drying adequately. Are these issues related? What is the solution? (Heating element measures 15 ohms. Thermostat test shows continuity. Control panel test cycle steps through as described in the chart)thanks
1 Answer TJ, The HO code that is showing is a water heating delay which means that the unit had to pause because the water coming into the unit was not adequately hot enough. The water not being hot enough can also cause the unit to not dry properly as it takes more time for the heater to get the dishes hot enough to disperse the moisture. Also you will want to make sure that you are using a rinse aid in the unit or a detergent with rinse aid but not both. Make sure that the water temperature coming into the unit is at least 125 degrees. Read More...
Tracy February 22, 2015 for Model Number Fdb4315lfco Top sprayer is not getting water to it. I've cleaned it out, replaced the rubber ring at the top. Water is not going to the top of the tube to reach the sprayer. Water pressure tested at 48 psi. Could the sensor be the problem. Part number 154473901
1 Answer Tracy, The sensor [AP3580342} shouldn't be the issue, it determines the water clarity and extends or reduces the wash run time automatically. You have good water pressure but you may have a clogged fill valve 154569201 start the dishwasher and let it fill and wash for 5 minutes, unlatch the door, remove the bottom rack and check the water level at the center near the spray arm support, the water level needs to be at least one(1)inch deep, if not there isn't enough water in the system to feed the upper spray arm properly. If the water level is in range or above, you'll need to check the impeller 154844101 for damaged vanes and the volute 807145201 and shift ball for obstructions and debris. Read More...

Jeremy May 06, 2014 for Model Number pld4555rfco We have been having problems with item melting when we run the dishwasher, and now noticed the the lower spray arm has started to melt as well. Could this be a thermostat problem or something else.
1 Answer Jeremy, You would want to test the thermostat to make sure that it is good but it could also be an issue with the relay in the control board sticking. You will want to check to make sure that there is not constant power going to the heating element without shutting off. Read More...
